The months are going so fast.

Hello everybody,
Hope everyone has been happy and well while I have been absent.
Well I have finally found more opportunities to be back in my women cave and catching up on my back log  of  sewing  projects that have been laying idle  for a while. I am happy as long as there is a new project on the horizon.
At the moment I have 2 quilts on the go for 2 dear little girls ,Mia and Amiria.  I can show a sneak peak on the progress of Amiria's.

I have a helper on the cutting table.

Val from quilting class has the centre piece finished of her quilt and it is very pretty and delicate.I am sure the finished quilt will  reveal lovely fabric shades and will be gorgeous.

Also from our weekly quilting group Sondra has finished another child's quilt to send to the Women's Refuge for the children having to stay there. These quilts are very needed.

Some photos from Thredbo .Australia's snow fields.

               Cute.

I had a lovely holiday with my family, daughter, son inlaw, 5 older teens,  grandies. Lots of snow dumping and we all had a fabulous time. I loved my walks in the snow.
Our winter days will soon be over and it will be lovely to see sunny warm  days again.
Happy sewing.

Different paths to travel now.

Hello Everyone,
I have some lovely quilts to showcase ,my quilting  friends have been busy .
Their enthusiasm is certainly catching. When  seeing their fabulous quilts each week is so inspiring.

These next 3 quilts are so different and Di who made these is so very talented and creative with her  quilting.

This quilt is hand sewn.

This next quilt has a impressive border hand sewn. My camera doesn't show how beautiful the rich colouring is of this fabric .Lee has made this quilt to  showcase  the beautiful fabric.

Winter is upon us here in Australia and I will be heading to the snow fields in 2 weeks which I am looking forward to spending some time at Thredbo Village. I will be taking my hand sewing to sit by the open fire watching the snow fall and enjoy some walks in the snow.
I have some near finishes which I hope to get some bindings on .
Also will  knit some beanie hats for my grandson to take to Lihi in the remote areas of the Himalaya Mountains, Nepal, where he will be trekking with the charity group for building schools and other educational supplies to the little children in November 2017.

Thredbo Village.

On the road to Thredbo. I am going with my family , My big boys and girl (late teens)  5 grandchildren and their mum and dad, all skiers and snow boarders. Not me I can assure you !!
Thank you for calling into  my blog.xx
Happy sewing week..

Quilting is very soothing.

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a great week and are happy and well.
Quilting is very soothing and my sewing friends have made more progress with their quilting  projects.
I have also and by next  week should have 2 tops finished . If all goes to plan.  Haha a plan that doesn't happen very often !!

Glenda has finished her tigers .I love that  fabric.

Also a baby quilt by Glenda.. Noah's Ark nearly finished .Ready for quilting. The applique animals are so cute.

The whole class was very passionate working on this quilt for charity. A lovely collection of fabrics.

This is a photo of the ladies in my class. We are all dear friends and have been meeting every week for years. These ladies follow your blogs and love seeing what you are doing .They do not have a blog themselves .Someone will talk about something you have made every week.

I will finish with these lovely ladies and look forward to visiting your blogs to see what creativity has been happening there.
Love connecting with my blogger friends.

Sad Times.

It has taken me a while to post this but there is something I need to tell you.
I'm saddened to tell you this as my husband Ray passed away 3 weeks ago now due to Pneumonia after suffering for 12 months of struggle due to complications after surgery.
God gently took him home peacefully with his family at his side.
I will miss him dearly after 57 years together from 16 years of age.
Those we love never truly leave us.

Thank you when there are things I need to say, Someone to share the bad times with and enjoy the good times too.
