Friends Forever.

One more week of crisp cold bleak weather and we will have  Spring, and there is new life again.
A few baby joeys will be around ,baby lambs born early Spring when there is lots of fresh grass for them.
Baby ducklings waddling around .

Little babies.

Cute little Joey baby Kangaroo  and baby  Lambs

Our beautiful Australian National flower the Wattle. It is on the Australian Coat of Arms.
It is a fragrant sweet smelling flower. It can be used to make perfumes, bath herbs and potpourris.
We have the bushes (acacia) growing outside our front door in the bush so pretty.. It can give some people hay fever. Australia celebrates Wattle Day on the 1st September. Our start of Spring.

Saying "Hello" to you all from the ladies at my weekly  quilting group who look on here to see what projects are happening with you all . These ladies don't have a blog and love reading and seeing my bloggie follower friend's current projects . Your enthusiasm is catching.

Lynne has the top all finished for this colourful fabulous Baby quilt.

Kay has finished this lovely soft warm colours and cuddly flannelette quilt.

 I love this heart centrepiece.

Bring on Spring.

Hello everyone ,friends and followers,
Thank goodness Winter here  is nearly finished. I am so looking forward to the Spring coming in. It has been a very cold Winter.
A very cold Kangaroo.

In the bush among the Gum trees and Grass trees.
Rain ,hail ,shine or snow we never miss our quilting class and the ladies have been impressive and I am shareing some of the projects that are  happening.

Lee has a finish with this visually beautiful quilt and gorgeous selection of fabrics.

Also Lee has nearly finished a Lynette Anderson design. Spring Bunny Table Topper. It is so adorable with the little embroidered Bunnies .

I have a work in progress with  this  Table Topper also. It is all done by hand which is quite relaxing to make and giving using the machine a rest.

Lynne has finished a charming large  quilt top now waiting to be quilted.

Glenda has made these adorable quilts for the babies to be delivered to Cheryll from Gone Stitchin. as Cheryl takes them  all to the hospitals. You can read about this and click on Blankets of Love .blog from Cheryll's Gone Stitchin. blog.

This Australia's Photo always gives me an idea of how big my country and its wide open spaces, far horizons and sweeping plains reach . As Dorothea MacKellar said in her poem My Country.

I am still in shock about our Australian Cricket team and their performance in England for the Ashes.
I'm devastated ,I can't believe it!!
Till next time .
Happy sewing.
